The CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), established in 1958, is an apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering and allied disciplines under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) which is an Autonomous Body under Government of India.
CSIR-CMERI is looking for dynamic and creative people to work as Technician (1) in the broad areas of activities under different categories. Candidates fulfilling the educational qualification, age etc. may apply in the prescribed proforma to the Administrative Officer.
Desirable Qualification: Industrial experience of two years. Proficiency certificate in the respective trade.
Job Requirement: The candidate has to work for prototype development activities.
AGE LIMIT AND RELAXATIONS:
1. The upper age limit for all the above posts shall be 28 years. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/or
experience shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of Application i.e. 06.07.2012.
2. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST and by 3 years in the case of OBC candidates for the posts which are
reserved for the respective categories. Relaxation of upper age limit for Ex-servicemen will be applicable as per GOI rules.
3. i) Upper age limit for Persons With Disabilities shall be relaxable by 10 years (15 years for SCs / STs and 13 years for OBCs).
ii) Persons with not less than 40% of the relevant disabilities shall alone be eligible for the benefit of the reservation.
